THIS ISSUE’s MUST HAVE - BISHEABA LIQUIDGLOSS -try a tube on donnellascloset.com
What is it?
Bisheaba Liquidgloss. A shimmer combo of lipstick and gloss in an easy to use application. The creator, Bisheaba, is a M.A.C pro-and free-lance make-up artist known in the industry for her distinct way of making her clients look amazing with minimal effort.
Why I like it:
(Besides the secret-scary fact, that lip color -whether shine, matte or shimmer is a sickness to me?)
When I tried Bisheaba liquidgloss, I was extremely impressed.
I was happy to find affordable, pretty colors with a creamy feel and look that gave my lips a fantastic sheen. I also like that they were simple to apply and no matter what color I tried (golden pink is my favorite, with sugar plum a close second) the colors always blended well with my skin tone.
I didn’t even feel the need to apply my DIOR Chocolate or M.A.C Chestnut lip liners to either mute or take the color up a notch.
Who Should Buy Them?
Everyone!
Great for cosmetic novice that feels overwhelmed or self-conscious wearing colors. (I recommend Golden Plum as a starter for a natural look.)
Also excellent for the old-hand cosmetic addict, like myself ,that is looking for a single color to have and to hold in your bag. Advanced Glamazons may even prefer the Red Rose for a dramatic parisian-chic mouth or Sugar Plum for an “office hours” sex-kitten day pout.
D’s Closet Rating: 4 out of 4 hangers.
Okay, if you’ve been to Los Angeles, New York or wherever in between, you have a pretty good idea of the joys of finding some variety in shoe shopping.
Then multiply this times infinitity by traveling to Sao Paolo, Brazil.
This was my first trip to South America, and little did I know what awaited when it came to awesome pizza, friendly people and behold – glorious shoe shopping.
Lucky me, as I was fortunate enought to travel around the streets of Sao Paolo, with my new Brazilian girlfriends, Ledy and Gabriela, as they took me to all the best shopping spots for shoes!
Now you may say, what’s the big deal? Well my glamazon disbeliever, I think a store of 5000+ plus shoes is big enough.
When visiting Sao Paolo, I recommend you go straight to www.shoestock.com.br where all the Brazilian women of all ages shop.
Besides a dizzying assortment of shoes styles and chic handbags, how lovely to find your strap on fantasy in any color and size in the hundreds of shoe rows.
I loved the fact that a store this size, not only arranged shoes by size, numerous on-hand sales folks and registers(don’t you hate going to a rack and finding a 7 instead of an 8?) but also by color! Sigh….if only New York sample sale shopping could take a page from this book of organized shopping.
Even more amazing, are great prices from $20.00 to $100.00 for leather and non-leather items. Not to mention the fact that shoes are wearable from platform to 4-inch high rhinestone stiletto heels.
Keep in mind though, Brazil’s seasons are the opposite of North America. Although I went in October and they were at the beginning of summer, I did rack up on some cool winter sale shoes.

Miu Miu and two from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2008
I think a few of us (okay me walking 10 blocks a day to work on the NY streets) may have gotten to comfortable with the platform heel. Have you seen Alexander McQueen or Miu Miu’s take on the trend of square toe shoes? Are they comfortable or any different than round toe?
If you also look on runways videos here and there don’t be suprised to see a surge in stillettos.
Real to Runway Tip: Pilates or Ralph Lauren’s stillettos. I have 3 pairs because they are actually realistically “walkable” for old girls like me not Carrie Bradshaw size.
The key in shoes is how they make the heel. After all what’s the point in paying more than $50.00 for shoes if you can’t walk (or flirt) in them? There’s only so many vodka and cranberries that will take the pain away from sore feet anyway.
August 4th, 2008 - New York City, I joined the Accessories Council of NY for their celebration of the Accessories Magazine 100th anniversary event. This magazine is an industry staple and it was great to meet and greet with my favorite handbag designers like Maxx New York, Nine West, Sondra Roberts and countless others.
Usually when you attend events after work in NY they can a bit bland, but the Accessories Council knows how to host a cocktail celebration. The guest (primarily retailers, manufacturers and designers from the industry) are friendly, the hors d’oeuvres were tasty and filling while the drinks flowed nicely.
Not to mention the main event sponsor Swarovski, who made me swoon previewing their new CRYSTALIZED collection.

Congrats to Accessories Magazine once again!
Another cool part of this soirre was the Living Collection, where models showcased fashion accessories from the past century.
As the models circulated in the crowd I was suprised one of the models asked if she knew me
This was interesting since she lived in Miami, Florida, so who knows maybe we partied at Mansion together near Janice Dickenson’s Agency?! I can never remember! lmao.
